I had lip fillers done by Victoria. She is super nice and friendly, she listened to my concerns and ideas and what I wanted out of my fillers. That is extremely important to me and i really appreciated it. This was my first time having this procedure done so if you want to know what to expect...first a very strong topical creme is placed all over your lips (you will be plenty numb from this but also the filler has some lidocaine in it too so you will be even more numb once the injecting starts). Then she placed the filler in my areas of concern and did periodic checks with me in the mirror to make sure it was what I wanted. She changed the needle a few times during the procedure (this is important b/c the tip gets dull and it will be more painful injections with a dull needle). I know that all sounds scary but i hardly felt a thing. I didn't feel anything from the needle but i did feel some slight discomfort from the actual filler being deposited. not sure how to describe it but my friend who was with me watching said i looked like i was sleeping so I would definitely say the pain is mild to none just depending on your own pain tolerance. Victoria told me to expect a little bruising and soreness and also that it will take a few days to "get use to my new lips". I had very little bruising (it looks like small little spots where the needle went in I'm guessing) but not bad enough for me to cover up with lipstick or anything. The swelling was basically gone after 2 days and thats also about the time I felt I was used to them. I will say though once all the numbness wore off I was definitely sore for the rest of that day and less sore but still a little sore the next day.

I would say if you are thinking about this procedure just do it at a time when you have maybe a day to let them recover. Overall Im extremely happy with how they turned out and I will definitely be back when its time for more which I was told is anywhere between 6 months to a year. I recommend if this is something you've been thinking about for awhile like myself go in and have it done- I didn't think it would make a huge difference in self confidence but I feel like that small little fix has made such a difference and I'm so happy I did it.
